Mills Heating & Air is seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our team for the 30A and Freeport area. Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and a strong background in residential and/or commercial HVAC work. As a Mills HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, service, and repair HVAC equipment in residences and commercial establishments to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete work orders for billing purposes.
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Test electrical circuits and components for continuity using electrical test equipment.
- Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
- Inspect and test the system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
- Discuss heating-cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been corrected.
- Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
- Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
- Adjust system controls to the setting recommended by the manufacturer to balance the system, using hand tools.
- Working with a dispatcher and office managers to ensure smooth operation.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Drug Testing & E-Verify
**Qualifications:**
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Loud Environment, Long Days in Summer months, long periods of standing, using a phone to call customers and distributors, working with electrical connections, driving from service call to service call, ability to work with various HVAC-related tools, lifting heavy objects.
