Job Title: State Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator

Job Summary: As a State Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator at Marsh Lending, you will play a critical role in guiding clients through the mortgage application process, from initial inquiry to loan closing. You will be responsible for identifying client needs, recommending appropriate mortgage products, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Your role will be key in helping clients secure financing for their homes while building and maintaining relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand their financial needs and mortgage goals.
- Advise clients on suitable mortgage products (e.g., fixed-rate, adjustable-rate, FHA, Non-QM, etc.).
- Assess clients' financial situation and evaluate creditworthiness, reviewing credit reports, income, assets, and debts.
- Assist clients in completing mortgage applications and gathering/importing necessary documentation.
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding loan programs, rates, and terms.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in mortgage regulations, policies, and industry trends to provide expert guidance.
- Work closely with our LOAs, investor partners, underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure the smooth and timely processing of loans.
- Maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, financial planners, and other referral sources to generate leads and referrals.
- Ensure all loans comply with federal, state, and company guidelines, regulations, and laws.
- Achieve personal production goals and contribute to the overall success of the mortgage team.
- Maintain excellent customer service, providing ongoing support throughout the loan process and ensuring client satisfaction, and referral opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Active state mortgage loan originator license in AL and/or FL and/or TX (required).
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or similar role in the mortgage or banking industry.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, processes, and regulations.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in mortgage loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Experience with CRM systems and mortgage-specific tools.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
